Kyiv-based Ukrainian language school Language Lab celebrated its 10th anniversary on Oct. 3 at The Last Barricade, the protest-themed restaurant beneath Independence Square, and used the occasion to launch Ukraine Connected, a community linking foreigners and Ukrainians. Founder Ksenia Golubytska said the school, which never paused during COVID or the full-scale invasion, now teaches students from more than 50 countries. Organizers say events will adapt to air-raid alerts this winter, moving to shelters or online when needed.
