Minister van Defensie Theo Francken (N-VA) wil een "rijkswacht 2.0" op poten zetten om de politie te versterken met militair opgeleide manschappen. "Het kat-en-muisspel in de straten van Brussel of Luik vraagt om een proportioneel antwoord", klinkt het. Samen met minister van Binnenlandse Zaken Bernard Quintin (MR) legt hij de komende weken een concreet voorstel voor aan de regering.
