Le cinéaste, qui a connu enfant les privations de liberté dans la Hongrie communiste, se penchait dans ses premiers films sur la machine exterminatrice nazie et le système totalitaire communiste. Son dernier long-métrage, en salle le 28 octobre, s’attache à la fin de la vie de Jean Moulin, confrontant à nouveau l’humanité et la barbarie.
