The Amritsar consumer commission has ordered Air India to compensate a passenger with Rs 50,000 after he missed his flight to London due to alleged inadequacies in the airline's handling of Covid-19 travel protocols. The financial award includes Rs 40,000 for emotional distress and Rs 10,000 towards legal fees.
