In Lommel plant het stadsbestuur een hervorming van de belastingen op 2e verblijven. De stad trekt de belasting op 2e verblijven in woongebied op naar 1.500 euro per woning. Daarnaast is er voor de jaargasten op campings als De Blauwe Meer en Parelstrand een volledig nieuw, afzonderlijk reglement uitgewerkt. Zij zullen in de toekomst 600 euro per jaar, per standplaats betalen. De nieuwe belastingreglementen liggen vanavond voor op de gemeenteraad.
