USA:s försök att få slut på kriget i Ukraina har kört fast. Sedan Donald Trump så tydligt har ställt sig på Rysslands sida och enbart sätter press på Ukraina undergrävs USA:s trovärdighet som medlare. Därför är det inte helt orimligt att det kommer ett fredsinitiativ från europeiskt håll.
