Die Europäische Kommission will die EU-Grenzschutzagentur Frontex personell aufstocken und zu einer effektiven EU-„Abschiebeagentur“ machen. In am Dienstag von den zuständigen EU-Kommissaren Magnus Brunner und Henna Virkkunen präsentierten Vorschlägen ist neben der Aufstockung des ständigen Korps auf 30.000 Personen eine neue Schnelle Eingreiftruppe für den Kriseneinsatz, die aktive Mitwirkung bei Abschiebungen sowie Social-Media-Überwachung vorgesehen.
