Spoorbeheerder Infrabel plant in de Tongerse deelgemeente 's-Herenelderen een ondertunneling van de spoorlijn Hasselt-Tongeren. Daarmee verdwijnt de laatste spooroverweg in Tongeren-Borgloon. De tunnel opent normaal gezien in het voorjaar van 2029.
