In Wetteren zijn zo'n 150 inwoners naar de 1e infoavond gekomen rond de komst van de nieuwe Scheldebrug. De stad wil dat die brug buiten het centrum komt te liggen in Overbeke. Natuurverenigingen en buurtbewoners zien de brug liever op dezelfde plek gebouwd worden. De inwoners kregen over beide scenario's uitleg en konden er ook hun mening over kwijt.
