La Kehlsteinhaus – bâtiment construit en 1938 par les nazis à des fins de représentations pour Adolf Hitler – a presque entièrement brûlé entre vendredi soir et dimanche. Dès 1952, le lieu était devenu un restaurant de montagne prisé. En Allemagne se pose désormais la question du devenir des ruines du 'Nid d'Aigle'.
