Studenten die studievertraging oplopen, zullen niet zomaar hun Groeipakket verliezen wanneer ze 24 worden. De Vlaamse regering heeft afgesproken om een uitzondering te maken voor jongeren die bijvoorbeeld ernstig ziek zijn, mantelzorger zijn of uit de jeugdhulp komen. De geplande verlaging van de leeftijdsgrens gaat ook niet in januari in, maar pas op 1 oktober 2027.
