On Monday night, a 17-year-old girl participated in a garba event in Santoshbhuvan. An 18-year-old youth, who was her friend, assaulted her after she stopped talking to him. The accused dragged her out of the garba pandal and attacked her. After the incident, Pelhar police registered a case against the accused under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The police promptly arrested him following the event.
