El presidente del Congreso, Miguel Torres, defendió la aprobación de 27 facultades legislativas para el Poder Ejecutivo y aseguró que el Senado actuó dentro de sus atribuciones constitucionales y reglamentarias. Esto, luego de que la Cámara de Diputados aprobara previamente 20 de las 66 facultades solicitadas por el Gobierno.
